CABARAN 10: Penghantaran Pledge Scan Copy

Salam,

Setelah mendapat tahu penempatan universiti, ada satu lagi masalah besar yang perlu dihadapi iaitu pihak embassy memohon agar kami menghantar plegde ( akujanji ) yang telah ditandatangan dan salinan passport dengan segera.

Dah lah email diterima dua hari sebelum hari raya ( 6 Ogos 2013 - raya puasa 8 Ogos 2013! ), duduk kat kampung pulak tu! Ingat nak bercuti sekolah di kampung la sbb cuti hari raya bersambung terus dengan cuti sekolah pertengahan semester 2.... Nampaknya kena balik KL awal..

7 Ogos 2013, petang ( malam baru terbaca email! ), pula terima email lain dari embassy yang meminta kalau tak dapat hantar hardcopy pledge, hantar dulu scan copy. Embassy akan beri scan copy surat tawaran melalui email lepas tu. Lagi tension! Mana nak cari printer! Scanner apa tah lagi!

Rumah kat kampung mmg x de semua tu! Nak cari kedai komputer pun tutup sebab esok raya... Esok pun tutup sbb raya...Sehari selepas tu pun, kedai masih tutup sbb pantai timur cuti hari Jumaat! Rasa macam nak balik KL terus malam tu.... risau takut nanti, semua guru lain dah send the plegde, saya seorang yang masih tak hantar....

Sedutan email yang diterima ( petang 7 Ogos 2013)....

Please read the following long email carefully.

Dear All,
Please be informed that for those who have submitted the signed pledge, you may start applying visa for further study in Japan. If you have not submitted the pledge, please submit as soon as possible. You can submit your passport photocopy (scan) by email later.

If you wish to apply for student visa next week (school holiday) but you have not posted your pledge, please send us a scan copy of the pledge first, and later post or hand-deliver the signed pledge along with your passport photocopy to our Embassy in Kuala Lumpur. Once we obtain your email containing the scan of your signed pledge, we will email you the scan official letter which is required for visa application. The official letter will be posted early next week.

If your passport expiry date is near (within 8 months), please renew your passport before applying the visa. Personally, I suggest you to renew your passport if your passport expiry date is before the end of your scholarship term.

Basically, you should apply visa at the Embassy of Japan/ Consulate General/ Consular Office according to the state you are residing (the address on your official letter).

Embassy of Japan in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) Cover Area: Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Malacca, Pahang (*Malaysians residing in Sarawak can also apply at the Embassy of Japan in Kuala Lumpur)
Consulate-General of Japan (Penang) Cover Area: Penang, Kedah, Perlis, Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu
Consular Office of Japan (Kota Kinabalu) Cover Area: Sabah, Sarawak, Labuan

Documents required for visa application (applicable to scholarship recipients only):
1. Original passport
2. One completed visa application form http://www.mofa.go.jp/j_info/visit/visa/pdfs/application1.pdf (read also notes on visa application form)
3. One (1) photo (4.5 x 4.5cm) with white background which is taken within 6 months from the visa application and must be pasted on the application form
4. Official letter from Embassy of Japan dated 6th August 2013 (photocopy/scan)

For your information, visa application procedure takes three (3) working days. If you face any problems when applying visa at the Embassy (including Consulate-General in Penang and Consular Offices in Kota Kinabalu and Johor Bahru), please ask the officer to contact Ms. Yin (tel: 03-2177-2600 ext. 157) or Mr. Kasai at the Embassy of Japan in Kuala Lumpur.

If you are bringing your family (spouse and children only), please contact our visa section for documents required for visa application for your family. You should also inform your university if you intend to bring your spouse and/or children with you.

Klu balik hari Ahad, mesti jem teruk sebab orang lain dah habis cuti raya....

Wassalam
